For about the last month, you have seen several stories in our paper, letters to the editor and advertisements regarding our “Campaign for Transparency” such as “Keep Public Notices in Newspapers.”

The Seguin City Council is asking residents to approve changes to four city ordinances — Propositions C, G, I and J — that, if approved, would remove the city’s written requirement to publish public notices in the newspaper.
